Dear Friends,
Since the time we first sent our appeal a week ago we have managed to raise 1.10 lakhs. We have received letters of support and solidarity, one of which is included at the end of this mail. However, we need much more- a total of 6 lakhs for starters, plus ongoing medical expenses. Attached below is the appeal we sent a week ago and a picture of Mum Stella and some details about the family. The doctors certificates are on www.idishoom.com under this link and we at iCONGO are trying to reach out to gather support and HELP. Please send the cheque to the following address or deposit in the iCONGO bank account and we shall give you a tax receipt.

Think of your mother. What would you do if you were in a situation where you are helpless to restore her to health? Then imagine if you were helped by people who care. Please contribute and spread the word.
About my mom: Stella is her name and she is as bright as the Morning Star. During her spinster years she used to teach kindergarten children. Mom has been a home maker for the last 35 years. And she has spent it well rearing the 3 of us in the best possible manner and giving us an upbringing that makes us proud of her. Extremely social, very talkative and a likeable soul. She is a great believer in God and His will in her/our life.
About us: We are a family of 5. Mom, Dad, Melissa, Elaine and me. Dad is retired and used to work with Modistone Tyres, the company that finally locked down due to union problems. Melissa is the eldest of us and she is married. She works for CRY-Child Rights and You as a Resource Mobiliser. She is the one that has great strength of mind and spirit and we really look upon her for support. I work for Red FM 93.5, as Manager-Sales, Key Accounts. I basically run the house in Borivali on my own. The quiet types with a logical way of looking at all situations. Elaine is the youngest and she had to give up her job 2 years ago to be with mummy, as mom had suffered a heart attack then. She is the closest to mom and manages the home in our absence.
