4th Annual Karmaveer Puraskaar and RIGHT every WRONG conclave

CONFRONTING THE CHALLENGE OF COMBATING CORRUPTION AND RELATED ISSUES

On

26th and 27th November, 2009 at IILM auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi

The RIGHT every WRONG Social Justice & Action Conclave is an attempt by the people and associations from all sectors  to bridge the gaps and share the socio-economic developmental challenges and opportunities more widely with business leaders, government officials, social entrepreneurs, national policy makers, civic organizations and academicians.

The idea is to promote thought processes for good governance and social responsibility amongst citizens in Government, Businesses, NGOs, Small & Medium Enterpises, School/ Universities and harness the power of ONE as democratic citizens. It is a beginning for building people movements and knowing that We the people as individuals comprise We the power and that together as ONE we can RIGHT every WRONG.

The “KARMAVEER PURASKAAR (KVP)” is the National Awards for Social Justice and Citizen Action instituted by the people sector with various partner organisations, citizens at large and media supporters. The awards are a part of the RIGHT every WRONG movement. The Karmaveer Puraskaar, like every year, will be held on 26th November, 2009. 26th November is the day we adopted the constitutional pledge as WE THE PEOPLE in 1949 and it is now promoted by iCONGO as the NATIONAL PEOPLE’S SOCIAL JUSTICE AND ACTION DAY.

This year we celebrate the 4th year of REW Conclave and Karmaveer Puraskaar
The award ceremony is being organized on 26th November, followed by our RIGHTeveryWRONG Conclave on the 27th November. This year’s RIGHTeveryWRONG Conclave will focus on the growing ill-effects of the virus that is Corruption, the consequences and the need to fight corruption in India.

As is the case with many developing nations, Corruption is rampant and widespread in India. Criminalization of the India Politics is a problem. Talking tough alone will not yield any results unless the deep rooted causes of corruption are identified and treated. Hereby, our endeavour is to get an insight into what evil rests in our judicial and political system. So here is an opportunity for all of us to understand our responsibilities, voice our thoughts and do our bit for giving our nation the future it deserves.
